Fireplace Blowers
I have a propane fireplace, it has a control low to high and a blower?
Coming out of the control low to high button is this copper wire that is long with a much thicker copper end., and this is coming out of the fireplace screen, I was told when we bought this house to leave it coming out of the fireplace screen as that senses the temperature and controls the heat., someone came to my house and said oh no you put that back inside the fireplace where the controls are., I am so confused what is this thing and what is it for?
it goes over where the flame is its called a thermocouple
heat converts to electricity Thur it allows the gas valve to open
shuts it off when the flame goes out,
