Fireplace Flue
i just started a fire in my work’s fireplace. how do i know if the flue is open or closed? it has a chain tha?
you pull for the flue. if you could tell me how that works too would be great. thanks in advance. the smoke is going up the chimney if that helps at all

If it was closed, the room would fill with smoke really fast. Since the smoke it going up the chimney, I think you’re good.
